1. Find Your Home Before You Land

Start by securing housing that’s fully furnished and ready to move in. Look for properties with:

    •    Furniture, kitchenware, and bedding included

    •    Flexible lease terms (6+ months)

    •    Registration (Anmeldung) eligibility

💡 MHOMES offers move-in ready studios, apartments, and houses—view listings or contact us directly.

2. Get Your Documents in Order

You’ll typically need:

    •    Passport or ID

    •    Visa (if applicable)

    •    Proof of income or university enrollment

    •    Rental agreement

Make copies and keep them digital for quick access.

3. Schedule Your Anmeldung Appointment

Anmeldung (address registration) is required within 14 days of moving in. Book an appointment early via https://www.muenchen.de

Documents needed:

    •    Wohnungsgeberbestätigung (from your landlord)

    •    Passport

    •    Rental contract

4. Set Up Utilities & Internet

If you’re renting with MHOMES, this is done for you. Otherwise, you’ll need to register for:

    •    Electricity (e.g. SWM)

    •    Internet (Telekom, Vodafone, o2)

    •    GEZ (TV/Radio tax)

5. Learn the Basics of Daily Life

    •    Banking: Open a German bank account (N26 or Commerzbank are English-friendly)

    •    Transport: Get a monthly MVV ticket or use carsharing apps (ShareNow, Miles)

    •    Shopping: Sundays are closed. Stock up on Saturdays!

    •    Language: Download Duolingo or attend a local language school

6. Get Support When You Need It

From maintenance to move-out protocols, having a local support team is a game-changer.

MHOMES provides 24/7 WhatsApp support.

Final Tip: Don’t Try to Do It Alone

Whether you’re an individual or a company moving 40 employees, relocation is easier with experts on your side.
